There has been an outbreak of Canine Influenza at the Monmouth County SPCA on December 14th. We do carry the H3N2/H3N8 combo vaccine. We are recommending dogs who are boarding at local kennels to start the vaccine protocol, although most kennels are not requiring it. It is a series of two vaccines about 3 weeks apart. With the holiday boarding season coming up the first vaccine would provide some protection, but not full protection.
